By default HTTP timeout is set to 10 and perhaps this value must be adjusted via opera:config when loading spinner is on for a long time.

Maybe there are some "hacks" or "workarounds". But sorry, that is not what i want. I want usability, i want to use my phone with one hand! And i always only can mention a flagship phone size from 5" up to almost 6". Opera Classic was the best choice, but now it is dead. The King is dead, long live the King...

If you mean the layout setting, i know that and i explained above why that is not enough for me.
If you mean something else, please explain detailed!

And some suggestions from my side for future releases of Opera mobile: While loading a webpage, dolphin uses/replaces the forward button with a stop loading button. Seem logic, as while you are loading a page, you can't go forward. And make the scrolling of tabs faster, or let the people decide (like the UI) if they want the actually tab switcher with three tabs visible and fade in/out animation or the old tab switcher where you can see at least until ten tabs.

opera classic is not fast like it was.. example i use opera classic and one special Opera 12 Mobile Lab ( same browser with option for extentions ). and opera mobile lab is faster than opera classic.. but classic is faster than new opera 27 broswer with bugs crashing and no bookmark sync.. there will be no update for classic so afer couple of years wee will be forced to find new browser.. will that be dolphin or UC or new vivaldi firefox wee will see.. but for sure will not be this new opera if they continue to make wrong steps

                Hello,
The classic Opera 12 browser does not show up on the Play Store on Lollipop so I manually installed the APK from Opera's ftp site. The app gives me a blank screen and some other sites have said that Opera 12 doesn't work for Lollipop either.
Will the be support for Opera 12 in Lollipop? Or shall we assume that it's EOL and won't be receiving further updates?
                Thanks!

I would like to find some time in the team to sort this out. We appreciate that there are a lot of people that like Opera Classic and even though we most likely won't be adding any new features to it we certainly don't want to abandon loyal users who upgrade their phone. I can't say anything about when this could happen.

I do hope that if you have a phone that can run Lollipop, you will give Opera for Android a spin before you settle for Opera Classic. We will improve memory usage over the next couple of releases.

I understand exactly what OP is saying, and I too was disappointed when I updated my Nexus to Lollipop and realized that Opera Classic was no longer working. I have been a fan of Opera browsers since Windows Mobile and have used it on every one of my devices since then. However, I'm not a huge fan of the new Opera browser, so please give us back our Opera Classic.

                  Thank you.

Why? What's the problem with the new Opera?
Opera Software is not developing the old Presto-based Classic versions anymore, so give constructive feedback so they can make the new one better so you can eventually jump to it. Anything different than that is not happening, unless you choose to switch to another completely different browser.

I don't like the UI. I don't like its tab management. When word wrap or text reflow is enabled, it becomes very clunky and is not as fast as smooth as with Classic. I don't like the way it renders some pages. There isn't a loading bar indicator. When viewing a full site, as in desk top (not mobile), it always defaults to zoomed in and not overview like in classic.

My device is a Nexus 4, so the problem isn't a device that can't properly handle a full fledged web browser. Opera just went in a different direction with their new browser, but that shouldn't mean they should give up on its previous version, especially when Opera Mini is still fully supported and for the most part remained unchained as far as UI and performance.

That's fine,I have a functional and stable apk of the Mini I use. The problem is that not only is Opera Classic not being supported any longer, but that its not functional at all on lollipop.

This really sucks. I updated my phone to lollipop today without knowing this. I've been using Opera for years, mainly because the feel of Classic rather than Dolphin or Chrome. Now I'm completely locked out of my browser of choice and I can't do anything about it.

I guess I should add that I've been using Opera since your 2.0-3.0 days, going on eight some years... Sad to see the format I've been so use to for so many years go.

@bpydzinski Security updates? Opera Mobile 12 running on any platform can't resolve https://dragonfly.opera.com/app anymore which can ping the localhost from config page. Trusted domains list should be updated? I don't think so, moreover Opera Mini (and the new line of products) may have both ecma/firebug console in near feature and that will afect old prestof rendering. V12 is deprecated an will be buried in the same manner as mini3.

Well, nobody make a lark for the sake of Opera 12 so here I am. Definitely something is out of place in this browser currently and that could be explained only from Opera Mini perspective (as a whole, include Max) when Presto engine will be upgraded and Turbo2 can break the UA compatibility. Opera 12 is not an standalone browser, is not alive without Presto and it appears that mentenance workability is a problem for Opera.
