      Hi
I need the Opera 12.60 because of my Mail Client, and I was thinking, if I could install Opera developer parallel to the 12.60.

Will both browsers share the same folder >./opera ?

Could I point the Opera developer to a different folder?

      Thanks for your help!

The actual files all have different names; as far as I can see they should work even if they are in the same folder ... okay, there is one file with the same name: browser.js

In that sense, Opera beta or developer have always used a different settings folder from Opera stable, so for now it is moot. Not sure how to deal with browser.js once the Linux version does go stable, but for now you're safe.

          Hi sgunhouse,

Thanks for your reply, I will give it a try!

I have been looking into "opera:config", to see if I could point one of the browsers to anohter folder, but I did not find anything I would dare to touch.

          Thanks again!

Yes you can. I have Opera Presto, Developer en Beta and Next running side a side. No problem.

            Just do:
            sudo apt-get install opera opera-beta opera-developer opera-next

Only problem I encountered was first start after install, Opera Blink could hang importing the profiles, especially passwords. Second time everything was fine.
