Hi all
I have been a long-time user of Opera. After downloading Opera 23, I was vexed to find that the side-panel with bookmarks, history and downloads has disappeared.
Am I missing something, or has it been removed deliberately?

It has been removed since Opera 15 (i.e. since Opera ditched the Presto rendering engine and switched to Blink, Chrome's rendering engine).

That's bad news. The mouse gesture for opening a link in a new tab (hold right click and drag down) also doesn't work.
Bring back Opera 12!

Bring back Opera 12!Just middle click with the mouse on the link, or press ctrl left click. That gives you a background new tab. If you press shift middle click , or shift ctrl left click you get a foreground new tab.
