Close inactive tabs

Hello,
I'm really happy with the layout options for Opera, now that you can choose to have the tabs on top of the screen visible all the time.
Now when I open several tabs and want to close one of the tabs that I'm currently not viewing, I have to select the tab in order to close it. I suggest to include a close button "x" for every tabs, including the inactive ones, so that I can close whichever tab at any time.
Kind regards Jost

There's a close button on all tabs but it's disabled when you have too many opened tabs.
This, it simply wouldn't fit. You'd want to click the tabs but would hit the x-close button by mistake instead. You have a few options:
- Shift+click the tabs you want to close.
- Click using the middle mouse button to close the tabs in the background.
- If you want to close multiple tabs the above may be tiring. Move the tabs you want to close to the right, right-click the rightest one you want to keep and select "Close tabs to the right".

Thanks for your answers. I should have added that I'm talking about Opera for Android here.
I can imagine that the close button for the tabs wouldn't fit on a tablet either, however, in Chrome it works alright.

I misunderstood your first post then, I thought this was about the desktop version.
In that case... The close buttons should fit in a tablet because the tab bar is scrollable there.
There's really no way to close background tabs in a tablet. I wish Opera for tablets would be more similar to the desktop one, for example if you could long press a tab to get a menu like right-click does in the desktop...
