Hi Lem729,
Yes, everything is gone, the title of each saved website and the thumbnails too.
Thank you for your prompt reply. -

I believe favorites.db is the speed dial folder in your Opera profile. Did you by any chance save it from an earlier time? If so, you could try substituting that file in your current version of Opera. (It's a reason always to save the Opera profile, and periodically update it (the one you saved) when things are working). In the profile are a lot of important files relating to bookmarks, speed dial, stash, preferences, extensions, etc.
On your general question there might be an issue (bug?) with losing the speed dial, and that Opera is working on. Here's something I found from an Opera blog to suggest that.
http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/
Opera Next 23.0.1522.24 update
"Fixed an issue with Speed Dial extensions not displaying content on opera://startpage"And see this changelog. http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/changelog23/
If you do a search in page (ctrl f?) for "speed dial" it appears there may be an issue here that Opera is working on.That's all I have been able to identify. Perhaps others can offer more on your issue.

Please post a screenshot.
It could be that your Speed Dials are there but you're not seeing them because of a rendering error. You could try disabling the hardware acceleration in the advanced settings and restarting Opera.
If that doesn't work, try to search for different favorites.db at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Opera ****, you can backup all of them then try to copy to your profile or a new test profile to check it. Or use a tool like SqliteBrowser to open the thumbnails.db (figure out how to do it here: https://forums.opera.com/post/41282) and check its contents.
