Sync start up screen in Opera 24 Developer

Normally Sync would open alongside your default, at least in Windows I start with speed dial (my default) and sometimes Sync. (Only sometimes, not sure why it asks more than once - but I get it about once every couple of weeks.)

I have never gotten Opera (either version) to open with Sync. I have tried to use it since it always is coming up now but always times out stating the server is not available. But since it isn't supposed to work on the new Opera (24) why would it come up. I would like to get rid of it as opening by default every time I open Opera 24.

You must have enabled it, you could disable it.

If I did enable it, that was a mistake and I cannot find out how to disable it. But isn't Opera sync no longer supported by Opera anyway? If you have any ideas about how to disable it please share them with me because I cannot find it out.

Whoopee I found it!! I did a search in Flags for "sync" and found 2 synchronization settings that somehow were enabled now it is fixed. Situations resolved!

Right, there are two flags but you must keep the "Use Synchronization test servers" (which is used for internal testing) disabled to be able to experiment the feature with the regular Opera servers.

I see the default is "disabled" and that is where I now have them set.

I'm confused. Is sync working or not? What data does it sync?

Link works on Opera 12 series but there is no such program for the new Opera as I understand it.

I might be getting Sync confused with Opera Link. Which one is the equivalent of Firefox Sync? Does it work in Opera 24? And what does it sync?
