Donloading Files: Dialog Box "Open, Save, Save As, Cancel"

In Opera Desktop we have two options:
A) Predefined Download Location Folder
Always ask where to save each file before downloading
Option A), is good if I don't want to save the files I download. If I want to save one downloaded file, I have to open the folder, copy the file, browse the destination folder and then paste it there.
Option B), is good if I want to save all the files I download because I always have to select a place to save the file. If I just want to open the file and I don't want to save it, I have to select a "trash" folder to download the file, then open the file to see it's content, an then delete it.
What I want is the old "Open, Save As, Cancel" dialog box... or even better, "Open, Save to default folder, Save As, Cancel". I need to control my downloaded files, I want to decide each time if I just want to open the file or if I wanto to save it in a specific folder. Opera is getting better and better, but this is one simple feature that I miss from Opera 12.
Please, make an option "C" that could be "Show dialog box with download options".
Open: Would save the file in a temporary folder where Opera would automatically delete the files from time to time (every day, maybe?)
Save to default folder: Would save the file in the specified folder in the Settings.
Save as: Would open a dialog box for me to choose the destination folder
Cancel: Cancel the download.
That's my suggestion.
Thanks

You can get "open"-functionality and other advanced settings by installing Download Control.

It's just not the same. I do not want to define rules and don't want to right click to choose to Open a file. I want to see a dialog box that asks me what to do in each specific case.

Open should download the file to temporary files folder and automatically open the file from there after the download and after the file has been closed, delete the file.

Open: Would save the file in a temporary folder where Opera would automatically delete the files from time to time (every day, maybe?)If it will uses standard system TEMP directory there's no need to do some kind of cleanup by browser. Or use folder/mechanism similar to Presto Opera. Something like "temporary_downloads".
Save to default folder: Would save the file in the specified folder in the Settings.
Save as: Would open a dialog box for me to choose the destination folder
Cancel: Cancel the download.
That's my suggestion.
Thanks+1 For this suggestion, that should be here from the start. It's essential functionality to browser usage. Let's say you need to open files just to read them, then you have many files in download folder, and you're clicking like a monkey whole day.
I got, that also Chromium has not this feature. But this is one of reasons, why it's just browser for masses, and rather some kind of old times "terminal" software, not productive one, to everyday use of users. But sure then is also question, if Opera care for this so called "
advanced"(yes, these days user that know how to save files is called advanced, or even power user) users, and what kind of product Opera would like to be ... -

First I appreciate your work. But even when it's nice there's some kind of workaround, I just don't think that for this kind of functionality there have to be need to install any extension in first place. It should be core thing. It's not some kind of special, specific or advanced functionality.

We (who want to have an option of opening, etc.) are not talking about "doing your life worst". We just want at least an option to actÃvate de UI of Open, Save, Save as. That will not disturb you if you do not actÃvate that option and we will can be happy without worrying about that. We can just customize the browser as we want, that's what I refer to.
Indeed, we are worried about security too. If an autorun program or just an EXE program get in our computers that could make a disaster (virus). Another point is that we are talking in something like:
a)Open, Save, Save as, Save and Open, Cancel
b)You can customize the download folder and you just have to click in save and it will be there, it will not appear in an OS hidden folders, it will just appear where you specified. Just one safer click more and will be the same.If you choose Open, it will just open a file and then it will be erased.
If you choose Save, it will save the file in the folder that you could choose before
If you choose Save as, it will save the file in the folder that you choose in that moment.
If you choose Save and Open, it will open the file and save it in the choosen folder.
If you choose Cancel, it will be not downloaded. This could be useful with mistakes of downloading or WEBs that can make you download virus or another malicious files. That's all, and It could be just an extra option that you can choose.
Thanks

I just wanted to say that Opera is my favorite browser, I think is really secure and it is really compatible, it has really cool original features but this is a minimal detail for some people but for me and a lot of users this could be really useful and secure.
Besides, you could just put on this feature as an option in preferences menu and that way it will not be worse to anybody because who likes how it is now he will can keep that feature but who doesn't will be able to change this and it will be better and nobody will be dissapointed.
Fe de Errata: I'm not a native english speaker so I could have errors.

Hello, I would like to know if somebody, as a Opera Developer, could help us to add this optional core feature that could be just an option and that way it will be better for who likes the idea of the dialog box and for who doesn't agree with this idea, he'll be able to keep it as it is now.
It's really important. I would like to use Opera as default browser but I can't because this problema that conflicts with security and it is unsafe.
If a Developer saw this, please add this feature. It will be not worse to anybody because it could be an optional feature. So it will be better for who wants the feature and it wil not be worse or better for who doesn't.
Thanks

This is a MUST feature! I was sure that it exists, but obviously not.

Thank you for the understanding.

sake

I would like to add:
Please, to the people who is Reading this comment, comment on this topic because that way we can show to the Opera Developers that there are people with the same trouble and let them know that is important for us and for a good browser.
Besides, for the people that is not really complained by this problem, you can comment too. This could be an optional feature that will be not worse to anybody but for us, who commented, and for a lot of people more it would be really better and it will not change how it is now, it will just add an option to change the state of now.
I appreciate the work of the Opera Developers and the work of the Add-ons developers, including cristoph142, and I pleaase ask you for this feature in the name of all who want this because it will not cause anything worse to anybody but for a lot of users it will be a big difference. Just a simple and optional feature for doing the browser better and ,for the users, it will give them an optional feature to customize their browser.
Regards

We don't want to install patches and widgets to open files without having to go through a dialogue to view them. Please reinstate the processing that allowed us to open a file or link by clicking it rather than having to save it to the Downloads folder first. If you do decide to oblige this simple and sensible request please do not remove another useful function to compensate. More is better!

This is the most important feature why I use the Opera12 as default browser.

The Open Save Save As dialog was one of the nice features that made me use Opera rather than the other browsers.
With the new Chrome based versions, all these nice things disappeared: no Open file action, the downloads tab with the percentage/time left progress bar has been replaced with the stupid chrome round bar, multiple windows pop up instead of opening in new tabs and in the latest version, the mouse middle button to open link in new tab has also disappeared!
It seems like the user friendliness has become worse with every new version.
Please start focusing more on this because the browser of choice is supposed to provide an optimal experience for the end user that differentiates it form the other browsers.
Many of the old users left Opera because they could no longer find this in the new versions.
I've postponed the uninstall many times because I hoped that these features would return but I've started to lose hope lately.
Right now, Opera seems to be just a Chrome clone to me. So why not use the original?
