      @burnout426 thanks for the help

for the first test - both exe copies behaved the same as the originals - switched on opera im using; only back button working in the standalone version

second test - i installed the opera in desktop folder - the version stayed 133.0.5932.85 (Official Build) Stable (64-bit) and there the buttons work correctly

@iwua For the standalone installations, you just delete their folders. That's it.

If you didn't use the standalone installation for Opera Developer, you uninstall via "Installed apps" in Windows.

@iwua Opera 133 is on Chromium 149. Opera 134 is on Chromium 150. Opera Developer (Opera 136) is on Chromium 151. Current stable version of Chrome is on Chromium 151.

It'd be interesting to temporarily test in Chrome to see if it has the issue too or not. Same with Opera Developer. It might be a Chromium issue that started with Chromium 150 that may or may not be fixed in Chromium 151.

If it is a Chromium issue, a bug needs to be filed at issues.chromium.org.

                Opera Developer - ❌switched buttons

Chrome 151.0.7922.138 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: Stable Installs & Version Pins) - ✅ works correctly

I see https://forums.opera.com/post/171766 that says you can use your Logitech mouse settings to have a profile just for Opera where you switch the buttons so that make Opera happy. Might be an option for a workaround for now.

                      OK. Final tests for you.

Remove any Opera profiles you added in your mouse settings.

Download chrome.7z under Assets at https://github.com/Hibbiki/chromium-win64/releases/tag/v150.0.7871.47-r1639810 to your downloads folder. Then in File Explorer, go to your downloads folder, right-click it and choose "Extract all". You should then have a "Chrome" folder in your downloads folder.

Then, hit Windows key + r, type cmd and press enter to open a command prompt.

                      Then, type:

                      cd "%userprofile%\Downloads\chrome\Chrome-bin"

and press enter to switch to the extracted folder.

Then, type dir and press enter to see the files (chrome.exe and the 150 folder etc.).

                      Then, type:

                      chrome.exe "--user-data-dir=%userprofile%\Desktop\Chrome150test"

and press enter to launch that version of Chrome with a test profile folder on your desktop.

Does that version of Chrome work fine too or are the buttons switched there like in Opera?

                      Then, close that Chrome.

                      Then, type:

                      copy chrome.exe opera.exe

                      and press enter.

                      Then, type:

                      opera.exe "--user-data-dir=%userprofile%\Desktop\Chrome150test"

and press enter to launch Chrome with its executable's name set to opera.exe.

                      How does Chrome behave then?

When you're done testing, you can exit the command prompt and you can delete the "Chrome150test" folder on your desktop and delete the chrome.7z and the "Chrome" folder in your downloads folder.

Opera Stable 134.0.5954.56 just came out. Make sure to update just to see if it's any different. Nothing in the changelog indicates that updating will help, but ...

OK. I'll file a bug report for Opera.
