@Mlipka Suddenly, all the tabs in Opera closed, across three browsers. Everything else remained. I also use Opera on my phone, GFX Opera, and Opera Air. Sync is enabled in all browsers. After a while, I discovered that all my passwords had disappeared.

This is a strange issue that needs help from the Opera Sync team. Please create an official support ticket through Opera GX or AIR. The process is the same for all Opera browsers.
You can find instructions here:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/88353/report-your-bug-hereThe forum is not the right place to report this kind of problem. By submitting a ticket, the proper team can investigate your account in detail.

@avalloneluca Hi, how did you encounter the same problem? Can you describe it in more detail?

I have similar problem. All my passwords keep disappearing after closing the browser and shutting off my computer. I then reload the passwords but then the next day they are gone.

You can goto the URLopera://password-manager/settingsand export your passwords to a CSV file while they're there. Then, open up the CSV file in a text editor to make sure your passwords are actually in the file. Then, goto the URL
opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and delete the "Login Data" file in the profile folder. The profile path should be "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default". Note that to browse to your appdata folder in Windows Explorer (File Explorer), you need to goto "View -> Show" and enable "file extensions" and "hidden items".Then, start Opera, goto the URL
opera://password-manager/settingsand import the CSV file. Then see if they stick. You can also check permission of your Opera appdata folders. With Opera closed, in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming" and "C"\Users\yourusernames\AppData\Local", right-click on the "Opera Software" folder, goto "Properties" and click the read only box to clear it so that it's all white and click "Apply". Then, switch to the "Security" tab, make sure your username is in the user list and that it has full control (all permissions set to "Allow" except "Special Permissions"). Then, if you have to change anything, click "apply". Then, OK out.
Besides those things, make sure you alwasy fully exit Opera yourself before you shut down or restart Windows. Don't leave Opera open and have Windows tell Opera to shut down.
If all that doesn't do the trick, test if things work in a test standalone installation. If things work there, that probably means your profile for your regular Opera installation is corrupted. If you believe that's the case, while Opera is closed, in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Opera Software", rename "Opera Stable" to "Opera Stable old" to start over with fresh data and setting in Opera and see if things work fine from then on.
It could be an issue with Opera Sync, especially if you're syncing passwords and or settings. You can disable Sync for a while to test if the issue goes away or not.
Also, at the URL
opera://settings/clearBrowserData, make sure nothing is enabled on the "On exit" tab. Also, make sure you don't have any apps like CCleaner clearing your browser data on you.
For staying logged in to sites, at the URL
opera://settings/content/siteData, make sure the default behavior is set to "Allow sites to save data on your device" and make sure all customized behavior lists are empty. Then, at the URLopera://settings/cookies, make sure it's set to "Allow third-party cookies" and make sure the allow list is empty. Restart Opera and check those settings again to make sure they're sticking.
