I like to launch my opera as:

      opera --window-size=1496,1029 --window-position=54,26 --disable-font-subpixel-positioning %U

Recently I noticed that it doesn't honour window-size and window-position anymore and for me it's a real nuisance.

I don't know if it's a bug or just another of the google "features" of late, that we're been fed by our malevolent master, but I for one, would really like for it to be treated as a bug by Opera.

In the meantime, does anyone know a workaround, or a fix, other than resizing/moving the window manually every time?

      Thank you all!

      Note: Currently on Opera 124.0.5705.65

For clarification, distro, distro version, desktop environment, Opera package type (deb/rpm, flatpak, snap etc.) and X11 or Wayland?

I tested in Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon (X11) with the deb packages of Opera Stable 125.0.5729.15 and Opera Developer 126.0.5742.0. I can indeed confirm that the --window-position and --window-size command-line arguments are indeed ignored by Opera and work fine in Chrome.

Indeed seems like a bug to me. Filed RNA-1806 as I don't think the issue is known (except by us here).
