When I double click to open opera, two windows open

When I double click (like I do for every other thing because that is what you do) it opens two windows. I want to make it so it only opens one.

@Dorczaa I'm clicking the taskbar icon. Every time I click it opens a new window. I'm used to double clicking everything else and am wondering if there is a way to change it so it opens one window when I double click.

While desktop shortcuts require double-clicking, Start Menu and Taskbar shortcuts require only a single click. That's just how it works. It's not something you change.
