@krishanand There are many ways you can zoom in and out quickly. Additionally, there is a context menu and a shortcut key option in the Opera extension.

If you just hold the Ctrl button and scroll up and down and it already can zoom in and out.

I see people commenting that there's no point to this because of the CTRL+scroll command, but they seem to not realise that this extension doesn't only give you a slider to zoom in and out, but has other features too, and even if it didn't; this is still useful for people who, for whatever reason, don't want to or even can't use the CTRL+scroll command.

There is absolutely no point in commenting anything like that, if you don't like it; don't use it, simple as. All you're doing is contributing to a narrative that berates people for absolutely no reason, and that makes solutions for accessibility issues unwelcome and chastised. Just stop.

Convenience in zooming is paramount. Sometimes, the +/- icon appears on the toolbar, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm challenged in trying to find out how to keep the Zoom icon appearing on the Opera toolbar continuously.

If you want the Z icon in the Opera toolbar, click on the 3D box icon in your toolbar. That shows you the list of installed Opera extensions. And search for the name "Zoom for Opera". Next, click on the pin icon, which will show the Z icon in the Opera toolbar.
