If you want the Z icon in the Opera toolbar, click on the 3D box icon in your toolbar. That shows you the list of installed Opera extensions. And search for the name "Zoom for Opera". Next, click on the pin icon, which will show the Z icon in the Opera toolbar.

Sometimes, the +/- icon appears on the toolbar, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm challenged in trying to find out how to keep the Zoom icon appearing on the Opera toolbar continuously.

There is absolutely no point in commenting anything like that, if you don't like it; don't use it, simple as. All you're doing is contributing to a narrative that berates people for absolutely no reason, and that makes solutions for accessibility issues unwelcome and chastised. Just stop.

Additionally, there is a context menu and a shortcut key option in the Opera extension.

Such as: toggling a tool that allows the user to zoom in on a specific part of the screen where the cursor is, using scroll up/down to zoom in/out. I guess for something like this, a new option in the right click context menu would be used to toggle the tool on and off. it could say something like "toggle live zoom" with the "Z" extension icon next to it

However, with the Zoom Opera extension, you can do much more. You have also the option to get a circle to magnify glass, change the zoom value depending on your computer screen size, etc.
