Speed dials will not group

Sometimes two or more dials will not group - you try to slide one over the other and one moves away. Seems like it is dials pointing to the same domain but could be something else. How to force these dials to form a group?

What are the URLs for the 2 dials that this happens with and what position is each in before dragging and which one are you dragging where?

@burnout426 Dials from kaiserpermanente.org would not form a group. So I created a random dial and added a KP dial to that, forming a group. Then I was able to add another KP dial to the group. Maybe that will work for others with the same problem.

I had no problem with putting 2 dials from that site together to make a folder, so I'm doubting it's a domain issue.
What I do see is that if you drag a dial down from one row to the first dial of another row, that first dial will just move away from you. Also, if you drag to the second dial, you'll be able to create a folder, but that first dial will still take off on you. Dragging up from one row to the other isn't a problem.
What I'm seeing at least is that the speed dials readjust as you're dragging, which would be fine in general, but it can cause issues if you're trying to hover over a speed dial to create a folder.
Another workaround is to goto the URL
opera://bookmarks
, go in the "Speed Dial" folder, create a folder (with the new folder button or "right-click-> New Folder") and then drag dials you want to it. You can still run into having to chase the folder in certain cases, but it's less cases than on the start page. -

@burnout426 That's peculiar. I was trying to form a group at the last position, the most rightward, and approaching from all directions. So I wonder what could account for the difference. I am using a fresh install of W11 25H2 (and rebuilding my Opera One speed dial-arrgh).
Creating a new folder in opera://bookmarks works pretty well. Thanks for that. Didn't occur to me to do it that way.
