Can confirm this on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (amd64), Opera from Flathub.
~$ flatpak list|grep Opera

Same here, Running Linux Mint 21.2 (Mate), recently after updating Opera One to 122.0.5643.17 (system package, not Flathub) it was crashing youtube as descibed by @Forgottenleo
I tried updating uBlockOrigin Quick Fixes but no help. Disablint uBO also did not help either, no OperaAdblock. I do have an Pi-Hole that filters most of the ads.
Maybe now it would work better since there was a recent Chromium update and I have routine that copies the codecs from Chromium after update, but I did not try yet.
What I did was downgrading Opera to 121.0.5600.50 by downloading the opera-stable_121.0.5600.50_amd64.deb from opera ftp, and install it via cmd:sudo dpkg -i opera-stable_121.0.5600.50_amd64.deb
Hope this issue will be fixed soon. For now I will wait till the next Opera version.

Same here, YouTube crashes when attempting to play a video.
Using the Ubuntu-based ZorinOS.
It happens with and without the built-in adblocker turned on.It seems like the following happens:
- YouTube video's page loads fine
- when clicking the play button (autoplay isn't triggered for some reason), these two requests are being sent and then it crashes right after it:
VM10:414 POST https://www.youtube.com/api/stats/qoe?fmt=<... OMITTED PARAMS IN MY EXAMPLE> net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT VM10:414 POST https://www.youtube.com/api/stats/qoe?fmt=<... OMITTED PARAMS IN MY EXAMPLE> net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
The blocking appears to happen even if I turn off the built-in ad blocker and have no blocker/privacy extensions installed.

I reported the issue yesterday.
Opening any page with any video on it crashes the page/site you are visiting.
Had to Timeshift Restore to get my old version back (the easiest option after screwing up trying to fix it myself).

With the newest update the problem has been fixed for me at least.
Thank you all for the comments. -

@Forgottenleo
I was using the latest version and had to restore the old version to get things working again.
Glad to hear the new version works for you.
I'll wait a couple of weeks before updating.
At the moment the old version is working fine. -

@pstawicki Sounds like you need to update libffmpeg.so for your Opera.
