Need Backup codes to generate backup codes?

I need help getting back into my account, I have removed it from authenticator and Tried to get my backup codes from my phone but it still says i need either the authenticator app or backup codes?

@Comradeelmo6552 Did you disable second factor authentication on your Opera settings?

@Comradeelmo6552 Once you have enabled second factor authentication, it will always be needed to login to your account.

@leocg Even to make the backup codes? How am I supposed to get in or even make a new account with the same email if I cant access anything

@Comradeelmo6552 You get backup codes when you turn on the 2nd factor authentication, exactly to be used in those situations when you don't have access to the authentication app.
If you need new backup codes, you need to login to your account, what will demand the use of 2nd factor authentication, and create new ones.
It would be a very serious security issue if you could generate those backup codes without have logged in to your account using the 2nd factor authentication.
