Page Translation...is a feature of Opera Mobile. I love it!
But silly me to think Opera for desktop would have the same feature.
Per instructions, there is no box that opens in top right after landing on a foreign language page.
The extensions in Opera store are either Google or garbage, though those two really are the same.
Then I find out, based on search not practice, GX has the feature.
Now, I just spent several hours setting up Opera, to expect only conformity between products and this version does not have it. Really? Is the Internet monolingual by magic? This is a severe deficiency.I am set up for English and Castilian and not given an option of either in translation when I hit a Russian page.
Any suggestion for a translator that is not some wretched Google or Google based? Microsoft looms up there with Google.
When will this be fixed? Or shall we remain in a monolingual universe according to Opera?
Yes, this is a stickler and enough for me to uninstall Opera, but not to migrate to GX because that cup overflows with entirely all too unnecessary features. Like, why do I all of a sudden have a folder off the root full of hundreds of pictures?
How sad, because Opera Mobile is the most amazing. But this?
Did we abandon product improvement on PC programs cause the world now carries a third arm in the form of a cell phone?Thank you for your time and please pardon the snark; why must users work so hard to get programs right?
