Hiding extensions like in Chrome?

Hey, I was just wondering if there's anyway to hide the extensions like you can on Chrome?
This is what I mean:

I know there is an options in the settings to completely hide some, but I would like to have them available just a click away.

I use the Chrome extension Extensity to hide the Chrome or Opera extensions I don't want to see on the toolbar.

It's very easy to show or hide something from the toolbar by just clicking on the icon on your toolbar where you can see and toggle your list of extensions to show or not. So with one click you can see everything. And with a click on any of the items you establish how it's to be treated. It's not exactly the same as what you have, but I think it should suit your purposes. To use a Chrome extension in Opera, you need the Opera extension, called "Download Chrome Extension."

No!, the extension does not hide, it disables the extension!
That's not the solution.In Chromium and Iron you can resize the extensionbar small, into a » button.

Yes, you are so right, thanks. Hmmmm. I guess the extension isn't there (I looked in the store), because Chrome has the feature apparently as part of its basic browser. Well, the best I can think of is just go Ctrl Shift E to bring up the extensions and then hide or show the ones you want. It's pretty quick once you know the shortcut. Or you can right click on an individual extension, and the then click on Manage Extensions. I prefer the way Chrome has it, but it is what it is. It sounds like a good "wish list" feature.
You can enable or disable extensions as a group with the Simple Extension Manager. Click on the icon to open it, then one click to diable all.

For example you're on a website that won't play radio because of your ad blocker. A click on the icon, toggle Adblock plus off and you're good to go.

I tested One Click Extension Manager, and Simple Extension Manager, and with one click they both said the extensions were off when they weren't. So you can try them, but for me, I uninstalled them. Neither seemed to give me that one click feature. Not sure why they didn't work.

One Click Extension Manager (Chrome store) is working for me now. One of the nice features is with one click, you can turn all your extensions off with one click. And I must, say, my Opera 21 did seem faster. For the moment, I've brought 8 extensions back, and have the rest disabled. I think it's good to see what the effect is on speed, and then to decide what's really important. For some things, like a translator, that I don't use that much, I'll keep it disabled, and pop it back on when I need it. The same with the pdf reader.
On hiding extensions, control shift E brings up the menu in one click, but you still need to put the check in each extension to hide them, and take it out, if you want to show them.

Hi!
Some time has passed, so I ask the same question again, is it possible to hide the Extension Icons?
Currently Opera does not show more than 18 Extension icons (see system specs at the bottom).
The icons are sorted by time the Extension has been added/installed. Thus the icon order is maintained even if a specific Extension has been disabled, hence if enabled again the icon shows up at the exact position it was before disabling the Extension.
The old Opera (12.17) also lacked of Extension Bar customization, the only workaround was a custom button completely hiding the Extensions, what didn't really make things better.This is how it works in Chrome:
Since both, Chrome and Opera, use WebKit/Blink, it should be possible to implement this feature. If not already solved or under development, I would like to suggest it, because it is a crucial feature and without it Extensions are very limited in their usage.

Nope.
Since both, Chrome and Opera, use WebKit/Blink, it should be possible to implement this feature.
Same rendering engine but different interface. This is an interface deal and Opera's interface is doesn't share a whole bunch of code with Chrome.

I already thought about that, but then I realized not every Extension have this option.
Now I see that this checkbox appears only on Extensions that have an Icon in the ExtBar :idea:This solution is still not perfect, because:
- not all Extension functions can be assigned to keyboard shortcuts (e.g.: Tampermonkey Dashboard)
- the options can be only accessed with the extension sidebar
- no status indicator (Extension enabled or disabled)
But it gives me a temporary satisfaction.

we need the rightclick and hide in menu just like chrome also need the ability to change the order of the icons we do want showing just like crome.
