      @lasonik That's not the default installation directory for a standalone installation, it was used because there was a previous installation already.

      Try installing in a different directory, such as c:\operatest for example.

            @leocg i have a VPN programm running. But i tested the issue with and without it. Result doesnt change.
            CCleaner doesnt work in my country. As i said previously extencions are disabled/deleted. So the only thing i haven't tested is creating a second user and trying it there.

                    @lasonik sorry for not getting back to you but the support hasnt answered for two days 😞 did you by any chance temper with a file called local status in the opera gx folder ?

                          @kleoco-yt so i managed to fix it. But i dont know for how long.
                          Things i did.
                          Killed all the task in the taskmanaged related to opera.
                          Cleared a folder in the path AppData\Local\Programs\opera gx (Nuked it so hard)
                          Checked everything with CCLeaner
                          Once again checked that there are no instances of opera.exe running in the task manager.
                          Restarted the PC
                          Installed opera once again.

                          And that managed to solve my issue. At least for now

                            @lasonik managed to fix it as well !! i tried reinstalling it, again, and deleted everything related to opera gx on my pc. let's hope the fix lasts..
