Sync Data Lost

had to reinstall windows on my laptop, i logged into my opera gx account but i didnt remember the passphrase for my sync. when i reset the passphrase all my data was lost. is there no way to recover it? i really need it, please help

@svtooo When you reset your passphrase, there is a warning telling that your synced data will be removed from the sync servers. Passphrase can only be changed or disabled with no synced data on the server, since the data is encrypted before the upload and there can't be data encrypted by different passphrases on the server.

There is no way to recover that data, other then start synchronising again.

@svtooo After the passphrase reset process, you need to go to Sync section in settings page (opera://settings/syncSetup) to changed the passphrase or stop using it.

@leocg in my opinion there should be some kind of recovering or changing especially when you are for example already logged on few different devices so when trying to sync new device I'm losing everything everywhere

@mattmess The only way would be you to remember the passphrase, so you wouldn't need to reset it and, therefore, have your synced data removed.
