Something I would really like to see is an alarm clock, timer, and stopewatch option for the sidebar .
Kinda nitpicky but, another thing is that the adblocker and block trackers option should have seperate buttons in the address bar instead of being joint so u can turn them off or on with a quick click instead of having to hover over the option.
The settings menu should also be opened in the sidebar , as of rn it is really annoying to have to open it in a seperate window .
Another way to fix the settings menu is to replace the easy setup option. The "Easy Setup" isnt used much after you are done setting up for the first time so an option to turn it into a proper settings option along with an option to search in it would be appreciated.
Lastly whenever the zoom is at the normal 100 % the zoom option in the address bar disappears, this is annoying when the plus minus keys dont work in that particular site, so there should be an option to pin the zoom button to never disappear even when the zoom is at 100%. -

turned on a shader earlier because i didn't know what it would do. didn't notice a change right away but when i came back to my pc and checked one of my tabs i noticed it looked dusty... i thought opera added some sort of goofy feature where the old tabs that haven't been used for some time get dusty. great browser honestly i think old pages getting dusty would be hilarious.

Get the old Ui back, atleast add an option to switch to the old Ui design. GX classic isnt cutting it.

[Suggestion/Feedback]
Part 1: In the Mods tab there are 3 tabs, Store, Create, and Manage Mods (1st image), add a 4th tab that allows users to view mods and see the stats such as How much space it takes, when the user downloaded it, etc. (2nd image).
Part 2: have an “Uninstall” option to uninstall mods (for the suggested feature from Part 1), and Mod Download history as another category in downloads (3rd image).
Images below are to help as references for suggestions to provide an example for each part
(Above) 1st Image
(Below) 2nd Image
(Below) 3rd Image
(edited the screenshot above to show how downloads tab would look with suggested feature)

Dear Opera Team,
I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the new user interface introduced in the latest versions of Opera GX. While I understand the intent to modernize the browser’s design, I find the new UI less intuitive, visually less efficient, and detrimental to my overall user experience.
I respectfully request that you consider adding an option to switch between the new and old interface, or at least enable an experimental flag to restore classic visual elements. Customization has always been one of Opera GX’s strong points, and I believe this flexibility should be preserved.
Thank you for your attention, and I hope this suggestion is taken into consideration for future updates.
Sincerely,
Long-time Opera GX user. -

[Feedback] I don't like the new UI.
I dislike the new UI, and I hate that I can't change it back anymore. The most recent update removed the ability to switch back to the old UI, which I think is actively anti-consumer. Opera GX was founded on the principle of customisation. The entire reason I started using Opera GX was because of its customisation, forced darkmode, and resource capping. And now you're taking my customisation away. That's one third of GX's entire appeal!
Mods and themes do not make up for changing the entire layout in a way that I can't change back. It doesn't matter if I can paint the turd gold, it's still a turd! There wasn't even any need for a new one, nevermind one that looks so trash. Give us back the old layout!

[feedback on the new ui]
The new UI is clunky, to say the least. It lacks the elegance and beautiful simplicity of the old UI, not to mention that it is hard to navigate. The way it was introduced was also bad, just forcing it unto us, users, instead of allowing us to try it out if we want to. And guess what, once I talked to people I know who also use Opera GX they all said they switched back immediately. The person above me touched on how one of this browsers selling point was it's customisations and they are right that taking away that is super anti-consumer.The font of the new UI also does not help, it's harder to read than in the old one.
Can you just please not force your users into a change that they don't want?

It would be nice if you didn't have to play a video in full-screen to activate RTX HDR. Chrome has updated their video pipeline to allow this, so it would be nice if Opera GX did too.

I'm adding to the conversation of the new UI being kinda trash, it actually makes it harder to navigate because its so unfamiliar. It also looks like garbage, but that has been said before plenty of times
