Typing in Opera has become very laggy

Opera has updated a couple times recently. At some point my typing on like Youtube comments and the like has become very very laggy, I type and it takes 2-4 seconds to see the characters or I hit backspace and it takes 2-4 seconds to remove them. Anyone else experiencing this and maybe have a fix or work around?

@przhnk I haven't found the cause but I have found a workaround. I normally have about 10-14 tabs open at any one time and I don't necessarily power off my PC every night. This has never been an issue until one of the more recent Opera patches.
The only workaround I have found is to close Opera and re-open it. This seems to resolve it for a while but isn't really addressing the underlying issue of it becoming so laggy again. I assume Opera has developed some sort of memory leak thanks to one of the patches (or maybe it was a Windows patch or both).

@przhnk Thankfully, for me it's lasting a few days. Might want to experiment with using fewer open tabs or closing particular webpages that you might normally have open to see if there is any pattern to the behavior. Could also try clearing cache/history to see if that has a longer lasting effect.
Beyond that you might do some searching for any tools to address memory leaks. I remember there was a bad memory leak in Windows a few years ago that would cause PUBG (and other games) to perform very poorly due to building cache memory that was never dumped. Someone came up with a workaround that set up a scheduled windows job to dump the cache manually every X amount of time.
Not saying this is the problem but it might be worth exploring if something similar is happening. For reference this is the video that I used years ago and it actually worked great (Windows has since fixed that issue as far as I know): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnKDPLjbg_I
I used that method years ago and it was fine but you should always do your due diligence with downloading anything if you decide to try something like that.
