Opera always opens centered on desktop in Ubuntu
Why is it doing this? It's so stupid and annoying that I need to maximize it every single time after opening it. Running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, fully updated.

Why was this moved to General? It's Ubuntu/Linux specific issue. I don't have this issue with Opera on Windows. ?!

@rejzor said in Opera always opens centered on desktop in Ubuntu:
@leocg There are reddit posts about it that are like 7 years old...
Was it reported here on the forum?
Did you report it to a developer? -

@pilis00 I can't find my post anymore as I know I was asking about it. Could be I was asking in Ubuntu/Manjaro forums about it.
There is a post about it from 2017 here:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/23065/opera-48-0-will-not-open-in-maximized-window?_=1745331241823There are many others from 2022 and 2023 too. Frankly, I don't want to fiddle with it, I just want to install Opera and use it. All browsers start maximized, just not Opera for whatever reason.
