How Opera would be affected if Google couldn't pay browsers for searches?

MyLighthouse 0 last edited by leocgI wonder how Opera would be affected by a ban, that wouldn‘t allow Google to give royalities to other browser vendors to set Google as their standard search engine.
Mozilla seem to be very worried, if I understand correctly what they’re after in this blog post:

I‘ve read that Opera as a company is also very dependent on search contracts with Google. Is there any statement or wouldn‘t they do it in order not to crash their shares?
