Laggy Performance on High Spec Machine

Hi all,

I've been using Opera for a few years now and always liked it. Lately, it seems that simple things such as typing in a website URL, is super laggy. I have a feeling it has something to do with Opera continuously adding new flashy features or something?

I recently did a full reset and it seemed to help temporarily, but now the lag is back. I'm considering just going back to Safari, but wanted to see if I'm the only one experiencing this. Any ideas?

I'm running an M1 Ultra Mac Studio.
