From small village somewhere in India:
It was 2007 I first bought a desktop computer. Download speed was amazing less than 1kbps to 1kbps. I used opera long time till my desktop died in 2012-2013.i was fan of pause resume option. because speed was pathatic . I used to sit on computer hours to download small file less than 1mb. That pause and resume options was boon for me which saved me many time.
Now 2025 I am still using opera this time in mobile phone. No desktop anymore. Now download speed in my Village is around 4mbps-10mbps.+-
Now I don't use this option but using opera. I just wanted to say thanku to the team opera. Thanku.

@olduserfromvillage Wow, what a journey! I can totally relate to your experience. Back in the day, slow download speeds were a real struggle, and the pause/resume feature was a lifesaver. It’s incredible to see how far things have come, with faster speeds now making our lives easier. Thanks to Opera for being part of that journey, helping us get through those tough times! I also want to say thank you to Opera for continuing to serve users like you and me, even as technology evolves. It’s great to see how much things have improved!
