Google slides animation doesn't work

Recently (past 6 months) the animation I have set on my Google slides does not function correctly. If I animate a sets of words to come up one at a time on the "click" they all show up at once on the "click". This only happens when operating from the Opera browser. There is not issue with Google slides when using the chrome browser. I am unable to install any other browser than Opera on my Mimeo board and this incompatibility with Google slides has become a big issue for me.
