Can't log into hotmail email

I keep getting message "too many requests" when trying to log in to my hotmail email account, however I can can access when I use Safari on my mac. But I prefer to use Opera, how can I fix this?
Please Please when offering advice keep it as simple as you can as you will be advising a complete and utter technophobe
