Sometimes when i go to the discover page, and press a subject area, it is empty. If I click refresh though, the items come in, and everything is okay. Have you refreshed the page and is it still like that? I use Windows 7. What is your operating system?

It is because Opera is using the Blink engine now. 😉

It does blink a little when you scroll down. The faster you scroll, the more you can cause it. If you scroll slowly, it's not as evident. It's a lot of photos and information. Maybe it's impossible not to have some blinking 🙂 It's not terrible for me . . .

Now for sure sometimes the Discover pages are blank, and even a refresh doesn't help. What I do then is click on Speed Dial or Stash, and then after changing to that mode, come back to Discover and it's working again. It's a bit tempermental, this feature, has to be coaxed :).

Discover blinks for me, too. Using Windows 7 32bit and the latest version of Opera. Personally, I find it very annoying. So much so, that I find myself not using the discover feature much at all. I give the page plenty of time to load the images before even starting to scroll...which doesn't help a bit.

If you slow down the scrolling, it's much less of an issue. It's just a huge number of articles and graphics coming instantly as you scroll. Since I've slowed down the scrolling a bit, I don't see it as a significant problem.

Discover is not blinking anymore in Opera Next 22 and Developer 23.

I was going to say in my post that it would be better if it didn't do the blinking 🙂 so I'm glad to hear that, sidneyneto.

Discover does not blink any more in Opera Stable 22. Discover in Opera for Mobile blinks only in version 21.
