cos-intro.crx installed during Opera installation

Hello,

Auser installed the Opera browser, and during the install a Google Chrome extension was also installed called cos-intro.crx.

Has anyone seen this before and know what it is? I can no longer find it in Chrome or Opera.

@shawnomyo Browsers use extensions to add new functions and features.

Based on the name, I guess that one may be related to opera://intro content.

Yes. It's the crx file for the opera-intro extension that's for the opera://intro page. It's legit and nothing to worry about.

You can start Opera like this:

opera.exe --show-component-extension-options

and goto the URL opera://extensions to see it.
