'Tab to Search' Chrome feature implemented in Opera. Is it Possible?

Not sure if this forum is the place to suggest features, nevertheless:
One reason I cannot use Opera is the absence of 'Tab to Search' feature of Chrome. Wherever you are you can search Youtube, Amazon straight from the address bar. That's very handy.
Why Opera doesn't implement this feature? It seems easy to implement. (don't know if patented, but I doubt)

If you mean custom search engines, you can add them automatically. For example, on Amazon, right-click the search area, choose "Add search...", and press OK. Then you'll be able to use it in the address bar like, "a searchtext".

The coolest trick so far is to add Google Translate as a "search" engine. Then you can select a (huge) text on a page and use the context menu's "Search in..." to send the text to translation from any language (of Google's assortiment). The search url is http://translate.google.ru/#auto/ru/%s (replace "ru" with your target language). -

Amazon is one of the five default search engines. So all you have to do is right click the address bar to see them. If you go to the Address bar and type: z [and the search] it will do a search in Amazon.
Type w [and the search] and you get a search in Wikipedia
After you add the You Tube search engine, by going to You Tube, and right clicking on the search bar (and choosing add search) or something like that, then you can search from the address bar by just typing
yo [and the search]
