In Opera 12 was one more mouse gesture: Duplication of current webpage tab (by holding right mouse button and moving down and up).

In newer versions it has just vanished (and the combination does not do anything at all...)

Does anyone has idea why? (Did no one use it??)

I am quite disappointed that its missing. Is it just me?

Never used it myself. I need to edit shortcuts and gestures before I would even consider upgrading.

Keyboard shortcuts should work in Opera 20. Try F8, Ctrl V, Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

Edit: No good. Keep trying and you will find a way.

I am pretty sure that customisable mouse gestures will return somewhere down the road. There are a few Chrome extensions that can be used to bring this feature to opera 20 already, so it should be possible. the fact that gestures are still available makes it pretty obvious to me that there probably are plans to expand gestures again.

I don't know why it has died. 😢

            Workarounds:

            • F8, then Alt+Enter.
            • In Opera 21 you can middle-click the Reload toolbar button, it kinda works as clone tab.

It was considered an advanced gesture and Opera was just shooting for implementing some of the basics for starters. Hopefully we'll eventually get it.

Im trying to middle click the relad button in O21, but it just acts as normal left-click 😞 Any idea why?

It works fine in Chrome. Assuming it just doesn't work in Opera because Opera hasn't implemented that feature.

I always opened links in a new (background) tab by dragging down (and up).
It's been so convenient that I accidentally started using gestures in Windows Explorer wondering why they didn't work ^^
                    Sad that those are gone...

I did that too, and still try to 😞 Everytime I try and realise I have to right click and choose an option manually I become sad and long for the old version (which nowadays isn't very compatible with a lot of sites, so I can't keep using that one).
