Can we plz have a new Opera that doesn't heat up my laptop like crazy?

I've had my laptop cut off a few times from overheating just running Opera 12.x uploading things to OneDrive. Nothing else ran in the background...

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem, or maybe even a power management problem.
I've had to modify a few clients laptops before, that were showing such symptoms because of bad design and poor power management, and were way out of warranty.
It's wouldn't happen to be a HP (Hewlett Packard), would it ?.

Why are you asking for a new browser while using an old version? A new browser is already available: Opera 20+.
Also try accessing the opera:plugins page and disable the ones you don't use.
