Everything lost after update?!

So, looks like Opera updated now that I run it... and after update, I seem to have lost everything I had - speed dials, saved login credentials, and most important of all, I lost all extensions, including Tamper Monkey with several heavily customized scripts.
I could accept somehow the first two issues, I would collect again speed dials and logins.
But loss of Tamper Monkey is a disaster for me - I updated those scripts every now and then for years, and I did not expect I could lose it for a simple Opera update.
Can someone explain how could it happen, please, and is there any way I could recover it?
Thanks. -

Are you talking about regular Opera (Opera One) or Opera GX?
What version of Windows?
In Opera, goto the URL
opera://about
. What version does it show? Also, what are the install, profile and cache path values? And, what's it say for the "installation type"?Then, look in the install folder and look at the version folders. What version did you have previously?
So, looks like Opera updated now that I run it
You just started Opera and it just showed the https://www.opera.com/client/upgraded page, which is how you know it updated? Or, did you goto the URL
opera://about
and check for updates? Or, did you start Opera and see that there's a dot at the top left of Opera telling you to update and you closed Opera and started it back up, or something else?Have you modified any of Opera's shortcuts to start in a private window by default or did you (this time at least) right-click Opera's taskbar icon and choose "new private window"?
Do you have Kaspersky installed and have it set to update programs for you?
Did you install Opera via Chocolatey?
Do you have CCleaner installed?
Did you recently change your user account password on Windows?
Did Windows recently install an update right before this happened?

You can look in your user data folder at "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software" ("Opera Stable" for Opera One and "Opera GX Stable" for Opera GX) to see if anything looks out of the ordinary. Guess screenshots of the files and folders in the root of the user data folder would help and inside the "Default" folder if you're using Opera One.
If the whole folder was reset for some reason, you're probably out of luck.

Hi! Thank you very much for the efforts you put into this issue!
I started Opera as usual, and it showed that update page, yes, "The Opera has been updated", blabla - I see that page every now and then, I just close it and move on, keep browsing normally.
I did it this time, too, closed that Update tab, opened a new one... just to find what I described - everything empty and gone. After I posted this topic, I checked History and Bookmarks and account/sync - History was empty, too, account logged out, no sync - just like a fully fresh install.
It is Opera One, at Windows 11. Now, I checked some of these settings and folders you mention, they don't tell anything to me (for example, Installation type: For current user, I have no clue is it good or not). I could post screenshots or answers, but I don't think it is worth time and efforts, I installed TamperMonkey again and started collecting the scripts I lost, what else can I do now.
Thanks again for the help and thorough approach to my issue!

Well, this folder is not empty, there is a whole bunch of folders and files inside. Folder "Extensions" contain some funny-named subfolders...

@vjstrugar Those are just folders for some of Opera's built-in extensions.
