Can someone help me please ?
The password manager of Opera suddenly malfunctioned and I lost the half of my saved passwords and websites.
No way to recover all these.
Is this a crash or something else ?
Thanks for helping. -

Could have been caused by a crash, yes. But, not sure.
Another case would be if you changed your password for your user account on Windows recently. The might cause you to lose access to all previously-saved passwords and only show passwords that you've saved after the change. But, it doesn't exactly sound like you're running into this case.

@burnout426 A few days ago, an error message appeared when launching the opera browser: "a profile error has occurred".
I ignored this error message and then 2 days later my passwords were mostly gone.
Can someone explain what is going on with this error message ? -

Your profile could have gotten corrupted for some reason. You can check your system files to make sure they're not corrupted. Then, see the "How to Run CHKDSK With the Right Flags" section at https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/stuck-chkdsk-use-fix-right-way/ to make sure your file system is not corrupted. Then, use CrystalDiskIinfo to check the health of your drive.
Also, if you believe your profile is corrupted, you can start with a new one to make sure things are all good. Export what passwords you can and your bookmarks first though so that you can import them into the new profile. You should probably uninstall and reinstall Opera too to make sure it's program files are good and not corrupted.
Another case might be that one or more of Opera's processes didn't shut down and you tried opening Opera while one of those processes had a lock on the profile. You usually just get an error in this case and no corruption, but anything is possible.
It could indeed have been a crash that initially corrupted your profile. You can goto the URL
opera://crashes
to see if there are any recent crashes logged there. If you ever tried to run Opera as Administrator instead of your normal user, you might have messed things up and created access problems with the profile.
But, I'm just guessing. Don't know what caused it.

@burnout426 my passwords have never come back, i lost them and i had to reput new passwords everywhere. This bug maybe comes from the refusing of opera browser update to the latest version. I refused that because my computer doesnt run on new opera versions

@operator777 I am facing a similar behaviour with my Opera browser as you describe. Maybe at the same time you reported this, I noticed missing passwords, with some 98 passwords still showing up in password manager, and the rest of it (maybe 100 or more) disappeared. Some investigation of the remaining passwords let me suspect, these are all old password recordings, with all the newer passwords having gone. Might this match to your experience?
I run Opera Next 95, it tells me I am up to date, latest version available. Login Data file is 924 KB of size.
I wonder, might the data be still available in the file, with Opera being unable to show it for some reason?
