Opera automatically returns to the top of the page

For example, I am on a page with various links, e.g. with news. This contains many entries, which is why I have to scroll down and down. When I find a news item that interests me, I click on it to read it. If I then go back one page, Opera jumps back to the top of the news page and I have to look for the previous position again, which is very annoying.
I already had this behaviour in the last few weeks with the previous version of Opera and hoped to eliminate it with the installation of "One". Unfortunately, this hope was not realised. How can I switch it off?
Best regards Montenovo

@montenovo How is the behavior in other browsers, specially Chromium based ones? This used to be a long term Chromium issue.

Link to page with directions for how far to scroll down to and what link to click on and then when to click back?
