school login page popping up where it shouldn't

ever since i let my friend (who is still in school) use my laptop for schoolwork, whenever i go to the mccc website to download the latest version of the sims mod and click on the download link, i get redirected to his school district's sign in page. its the weirdest thing ever, since you'd think sims mods and school would have nothing in common.
i cannot sign in obviously since I'm no longer in school.
i cannot figure out why it is doing that or how to stop it. i figured deleting his account would fix it, but i can't figure out how to do that.
(my default browser is Chrome, if that helps)
