[Suggestion] Allow to skip updates

Hello Opera Team,
current update sporadically stalls at ~ xx %.
But I have another point. Can you make it so that users have a choice, if they want this update or not? More precisely, can you make available major and minor updates, which allows users to either accept or skip it? This could also be spilt into security or functional. The (meanwhile) four-dimension version number is not helpful: *.36 means what and why. .5045. means what and why; and how does 5045 correlate to .0.? No need to go further with this, only as example. Think user: Random and per week updates are tedious -- especially since they cannot be delayed, skipped, or shifted; that is: "delay by 1 week" or else. (Then: If it is sec-critical, it should be forced/pushed)
Just updates is boring. And it is time and bandwidth consuming. There is also no link to Release notes, and with high-count update, most likely, users will skip to read every time.
You may have answers to this inquiry; or it may be stimulating some discussion; or there may have been some overall decisions in the past that I am not aware of. Similarly, Chrome is updating like "running sushi" -- good if you are hungry, not good if you have eaten.
Nevertheless I want to raise this point -- and I guess the "stall" will be resolving itself. I will restart Opera now and see what happens.
Kind Regards

@operasurfer1094952 corrections (my sorry): I have a bad line in US right now, the update is "naturally" slow, not stalled.
