Hello, I prefer to configure Opera so that third-party cookies are blocked. What I do to avoid having to log in to certain trusted pages is to add their URLs to allowed sites that can use Third Party Cookies.
However, this personalized configuration is deleted every time I clear the history of visited pages, despite deselecting cookies and other data and saved Passwords.

My question is: If I uncheck the Cookies and Passwords options before clearing the history, shouldn't the custom settings be saved? I often clear the history and then discover that I have to log in everywhere because my custom settings with the pages that do have permission to use cookies have disappeared.

Is this a normal behavior? Thanks

Make sure you're not clearing "Site settings" at the URL opera://settings/clearBrowserData. That will clear those cookie settings for each site.

Hello. "Website settings" is unchecked every time I clear history, as well as unchecking "Cookies and other website data" and "passwords and other login data".

At the URL opera://settings/cookies, changing the 3rd-party cookie setting from the default of "Block third-party cookies in Incognito mode" to anything else currently just gets reverted (reload the page to see). But, if I add example.com to the allowed list under "Customized behaviors" on that page, the example.com entry sticks no matter what unless I clear "site settings" in the Clear Browsing Data dialog.

            That's what I see in Opera 107.0.5045.36 64-bit on Windows 11 23H2 for what it's worth.

What happens for you in a test standalone installation? Do your allowed entries still get removed?

Indeed, if in the Cookie Settings I select the options Allow third-party cookies, or Block third-party cookies in incognito mode, when I refresh the page these selections are not maintained and the option "Block third-party cookies" appears checked.

This behavior is not logical, right? Anyway, if I do the same test that you have done, the allowed URLs are not deleted. However, what is certain is that after a few days or a few weeks using the browser, suddenly that list of allowed pages has disappeared. Since I always make sure to have the options delete the Website Settings and Third-Party Cookies unchecked, the only possibility remains that what causes the allowed pages to be deleted is Opera's own automatic updates. However, that did not happen previously. That is to say, this is a problem that happens to me recently.
When I can, I will try to do a test with an standalone installation as you suggest and see what happens. Thank you

Yes, it‘s the same with me. No problem with Chrome whatsoever.
