Opera GX crashing my PC?

So today, I decided to download Opera GX to give it a go after I had heard about it from a friend. After downloading, it all worked fine and I started to play Minecraft with it running in the background.
Before using Opera GX, I used to have Chrome and regularly had the same tabs open, YouTube, Twitch (running a stream in the background), and my password manager. So I started playing, with the same tabs as always in the background, and after 5 minutes or so, both my monitors lost connection, my audio stopped, and I heard all my PC fans ramp up to (what I think is) their max power, and around that point, I hit the power button on my PC, and it restarted (contrary to shutting down, which usually happens)
I assumed at first that it was because I had installed some shaders for the first time on Minecraft, but after disabling the shaders, it still happened. I came to the conclusion that it was because of the browser, and after deleting Opera GX from my system, everything ran fine.
So I would appreciate someone who might know what happened here, and if they have any solutions.
P.S. I thought I would mention that after deleting Opera, Chrome began to take a lot of system resources, which never happened before downloading Opera, but it probably is unrelated.

@foreseenlime When a software causes a crash in your system, it usually means that you may have a hardware and/or driver issue.
