after spending some time with aria I don't get what this ai fuss is all about. This is just cause a lot of frustration and costing me more time that i like. It will take a long time before this gets somewhat useful.

@uberprutser I believe there is no direct option available at present. There are options using extensions for text -> voice but for Aria I believe this involves a copy/paste so not very helpful.

@lanshara If only aria would be quicker with her reply it should be a lot better for me. This word for word reply with text that is constantly moving on screen drives me crazy. But it's the same with other ai assistants based on gpt.

what's aria? i juste notice chatgpt has removed and remplace with aria. when i try to log in it's don't work. (i use operaGX)

@silver-steelclaw Aria is an Ai for the Opera browser, it is based on a chatGPT core with additions that among other things allow access to information retrieved from the internet so it is not limited to data before 2021.
You must have an Opera user account to access the Aria Ai chat function. -

In Russian, the assistant gives answers with logical errors.
"Boas do not contain monkeys or any other animals in their body. Boas are snakes that feed on small animals such as rodents and birds."I will note as a plus that the assistant monitors the progress of the conversation. But he does not understand the essence of the question.

Aria is very good, it's just very slow. The time between the queued answer and the start of the generation on desktop is at least 5 seconds longer on Aria than ChatGPT or even Bing Chat.

@godmother I know for a fact that, if the monkey is not wary and is not fast enough, boas can Indeed contain monkeys.
I don't know whether to put a smiley face or a frowny face.
So a snake will have to do.
Don't get too close. -

Aria is amazing. I never expected her to be able to be a good coding companion because she almost always has pretty good results. I haven't had an error with her suggestions and I have been using her for a while. Thanks devs and have a nice day ^w^

Arial enable me to discover opera mini app for my desktop and directed me through the installation process. It has help me a lot in accomplishing important things I wouldn't have thought to be possible. It's my best and favorite AI model.

For the sidebar extension, whenever clicking middle button on a site link, it closes the extension. I would like for the link to be opened in a new tab without the extension to be closed, so I could open multiple sites at the same time rather than going back again and again to the extension. Other than that Aria is great ! Cheers! ( opera gx user)

Is it normal that AI prompts are blocked by Opera in Private mode?
This seems to be fixed now. AI prompts now seem to be disabled in private mode.

I installed Opera because I work with a lot of information, so I thought of course Opera is an expert at translating a webpage contents or PDF into plain text, to feed it to the chat model.
I'm happy to pay for it, $10 a month or so.
That is only to find out Aria doesn't provide any context to the model at all. And doesn't have chat history that I could find. Disappointing. Maybe you have a beta version or something?

Aria AI is great in general.
Just want the option to tell it not to try generating any URLs because they mess up the output. I tried to tell it through the prompt, but my request was ignored.

@kotobormot Not sure exactly what the context is of what you're trying to do.
Aria seems a bit limited in reaching out to web pages, although I have good results with it referencing web pages as supplemental to questions I ask.
There are lots of other extensions/plugins for Chrome / Opera that can probably help with that.
There are some other AI engines that will extract / summarize content from web pages / PDFs. A lot of engines claim to let you "talk to a pdf".
Do perform testing tho', as, while Opera claims to run Chrome extensions, there may be some settings that need to be tweaked to get the best performance. One of my favorite extensions, Harpa, interacts pretty easily with web pages, and can use multiple engines on the backend, as well as let you "program" workflow and tasks within it.
I ran into some problems on one of the pages I was trying to work with, and wound up retiring to Chrome for a week while I tried to figure things out, and, joining the Discord server for HARPA, where I learned about needing to adjust settings and whatnot.
Harpa can use ChatGPT 3.5, OpenAI API key (to get other ChatGPT models) Bard, and Claude,
There are a number of baked in workflows that can be called directly from the Harpa interface, and you can tweak/create your own, if you have additional workflows you are trying to achieve.
