Can't Launch Splashtop through Opera without Opera Crashing

This was working in the pre-Opera One versions of Opera. I was beta testing Opera One and noticed this behavior, and when Opera One became the new "Opera", the behavior continued.
My company is unable to launch Splashtop RMM through our tool. When Opera attempts to launch, the entire browser (not just the tab or window) crashes. This is across a multitude of computer configurations, on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, all operating systems are 64-bit.

I don't know what Splashtop is, but are you clicking on a link on a web page like
splashtop://stuffor a button that loads a link like that in a new tab where Splashtop is associated with the splashtop protocol on Windows where Opera is supposed to ask if you want to open the link in Splashtop? -
