Activating Opera window usin g Alt+Tab acitvates Opera menu

I use alt+tab a lot to switch between windows. I usually have 4 Opera windows operating. A recently started problem is when using alt+tab to switch to an Opera window, it does switch to the Opera window but also sometimes the Opera window has its menu showing, which is not wanted and needs to be cancelled before I can do anything in the window… any ideas please?

How do I block the menu from opening when returning to Opera via Alt-tab?
It's terribly irritating and unergonomic.
