Merging Tabs leaves an empty window

I've managed to figure it out before to prevent Opera from Cloning windows.
Like, lets say I want to merge Youtube and Reddit in to one window. I'd click and drag one tab to the other to merge them. Once released they merge, but it also left an empty window behind where one of the Websites was open.

How do I prevent Opera from doing that. I managed to do it before but to be honest I have no idea how I did that.
