Microphone is stuck on mute and crashes if unmuted

Im having two issues, both rather pressing and important.
First, my microphone (specifically discord) is stuck on mute. Clicking unmute crashes it, going to the microphone settings in discord even crashes it. I've done everything from uninstalling & reinstalling, blocking from use then unblocking. It's even listed as allowed to use (which you have to go out of your way into site settings to enable). I've scoured for an answer but found none.
