Picture-in-Picture mode triggering excessive RAM use

Hi all,
I often use the PIP feature of Opera GX to watch a Youtube video and surf/play games simultaneously. I have been doing this for a while now and never had problems with it up until recently.
Let me give you a specific example:
Today I have been playing CIV 6 while watching a video in PIP. The video is displayed over the game, as the game runs in borderless. After roughly 1h of doing this, my game begins to slow down. When I open the task manager, it says that the "Desktop Window Manager" is using 80%+ of my memory. Also, the video goes out of sync, and when I try to tab out into Opera GX, I get a blackscreen and the browser freezes.I tried playing the game and streaming a video in the background (so not in PIP and not on another monitor), and the problem never occured. Same thing when I stream a video in the background with another browser. Something about the PIP mode must cause the Desktop Window Manager to freak out and use so much RAM.
Specs:
OS Windows
Opera Version LVL5 (core: 100.0.4815.44)
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI
Installed RAM 16,0 GB (15,8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorNote: I did perform the steps that are mentioned in the forum prior to posting this. I even did a clean reinstall of Opera GX, but all to no avail.
Thanks in advance!
