Same here, Good workaround but no one should have to add any line of text to the shortcut to get around this issue.
From reading the forums it's an Opera's own extension's fault that is causing it and eventually Opera Dev may respond that they have update it their end.

      Hopefully sooner rather than later.

        Hello mates,
recently in Opera One, every day Opera says me that I should recheck extensiones permissiones, then I check the extensions tab, but I can't be able to see any permissions options or similar. What I am doing wrong?

        Regards!! Thank you!

            @leocg Nope

I don't see any option, just see the extensions.

Same, clicking the extensions doesn't show anything needing update or permissions issues.

As said in other topics about it, start Opera with the command line --show-component-extension-options

                  I tried as say leocg.

@leocg said in Update extensions permissions:

As said in other topics about it, start Opera with the command line --show-component-extension-options

But I don't any button like "press here for update permissions" or wharever. It shows me a list of extensions. Definetly I'm going to re-install opera one.

PD: finally, Aria Extension need to be updated, pressing the button "update extension" shows me extensions outdated... anyway It should this be more user friendly.

@leocg macOS. So using the path to the binary and this as a commandline option will open a new window (or start Opera if not running). Is this the preferred workaround for the moment on macOS?

Was having the same issue. Here's what I did based on this older thread:

                      1. Create a shortcut to Opera One.
                      2. Go to its properties and add --show-component-extension-options in target without deleting the current one. In my case it displays like this:

                      "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera developer\launcher.exe" --show-component-extension-options

                      1. Though the linked thread talks about the Rich Hints Agent extension, it doesn't seems to be the issue here. Not mine anyway. What I did is go to the extensions page and update the Aria one. It should be the second one and display an update button on it.

Now restart Opera and it should be fixed.

I keep getting a pop-up on my Opera One browser that says ‘The extension upgrade requires additional permissions. Go to the extensions manager to accept the upgrade.’

I am getting this popup constantly showing. I have pressed update multiple times and it still continues to popup.

"The extension upgrade requires additional permissions. Go to the extensions manager to accept the upgrade"
