Pinned tabs gone after closing browser

I have to setup all my pinned tabs before starting my day every morning. I'm sure this is not the intended function of pinned tabs? Is anyone else having this issues and is there a fix in the works for this?

It happened to me twice since Opera One was released. It doesn't seem to have a pattern, considering that it doesn't happen every single time I close the browser or reboot my PC. Still don't know how/if it can't be solved by ourselves.

I updated to version 100.0.4815.21 today. When I closed Opera and opened it again, all opened tabs were gone It never happened before after the update and I had the tabs retain option on (it's still on and now it works, it just failed once after the update). They're not even on the list of closed tabs, they've vanished. I've lost hundreds of tabs in several workspaces I don't know how long it will take me to restore them all if ever So far Opera was my favourite browser but not anymore...

It happened to me (tabs from all workspaces gone) too when I updated the browser (Opera One) in the last couple of times (the last two updates). I am very dissapointed of this.

Do you know if this bug has been fixed? I reverted to the previous version of Opera and disabled the updates, then painstakingly recreated most of my tabs in all the workspaces. Everything worked for the past few weeks but today Opera decided to overwrite my disabling of updates and updated itself to Opera One again. I'm scared of closing it now if it means I will lose all the tabs again (btw, that's rude, Opera. Even Windows asks politely if I want to update to Windows 11 not force the update on me).

@athenais No, they do not. But please try to copy the folder Sessions from this address C:\Users\your profile\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Sessions to another place/partition/hdd/memory stick etc. before close the program. If tabs are gone when you open the program afterwards, close the program again, copy them back and delete the new ones, then open the program again. Voila! They are back again. You are welcome. Have a nice day!

@zamfir-theodor Thanks for the tip! I couldn't copy everything from the Sessions folder though, while the browser was open. Then, I accidentally closed the browser, but when I reopened, my tabs were still there Phew!
