Can't play videos on Opera

I've tried clearing data, clearing cache, re-installing and disabling hardware acceleration. But nothing works. Firefox is able to play videos, so I don't see why Opera can't. Yes, my browser is on the latest version. Yes I have tried older versions. Can anyone help me with this please?
I'm having this issue with videos and GIFs only. Images still load.

I think it depends on your distro. I use Manjaro and there is an
opera-ffmpeg-codecs
package which must be installed for the video to work. -

Did you do a search in this forum - there's two threads going on ... one recently updated in the last day, and has over 150 replies.
The second is from about two weeks ago.
They might be helpful - read thru them.

@chrisisediting Did you check https://forums.opera.com/topic/42185/the-videos-don-t-play-topic/, https://forums.opera.com/topic/37539/solved-solving-the-problem-of-the-opera-browser-with-video-playback-in-ubuntu-and-similar-distributions-linux-mint-kde-neon/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/linux_libffmpeg_config?

@leocg Yes I have. If they worked, I wouldn't have written this post. But it's fine, don't worry. I'll wait for Opera GX linux release whenever it comes out, but for now I'll just use firefox.
Thanks for the help though!

The issue for me, running openSUSE Leap Release 15.4 64-bit, is that the available and installed chromium-ffmpeg-extra version is: 103.0.5060.114-150400.2.pm.1
The latest Opera version 100.0.4815.13-0, is using Chromium version 114.0.5735.133 and as such the mismatch to the to elements prevents video from playing in Facebook and other web pages.
I acquired the chromium_114.0.5735.133 package and extracted the version 114.0.5735.133 libffmpeg.so, but it requires updated package:
opera: /lib64/libm.so.6: version
GLIBC_2.35' not found (required by /usr/lib64/opera/lib_extra/libffmpeg.so) opera: /usr/local/lib64/libc.so.6: version
GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by /usr/lib64/opera/lib_extra/libffmpeg.so)which is not available for my distro as yet it seems.
I reverted Opera back to the distro supplied 99.0.4788.13-lp154.2.47.1 with the original libffmpeg.so, and video plays as before.
