Sync deleted my sync files and prevent me from syncing

I don't remember if i had a password for my sync, so when i try to reset it, it just deletes all my sync, and then i get this:
I tried because it required me to use a password to sync and i could do nothing else.
Then i relogged and now what i get on my opera setting is this:
(please wait...)After hours, it still looked like that. I went in my opera account, my bookmarks and such were there, but it had only saved, not synced, my phone still has months old data.
It would still say the sync is deactivated ( i also tried to sync via my phone). Why do they make a feature that should be simple, automatic and fast so overly complicated. The sync feature is just so unconventional and buggy, there's nothing flowless about it, i've been struggling for years with it.
Everytime in the past I've been trying to sync my data it was a headache. I dunno what to do anymore with this, it doesn't seem to want to sync at all anymore.

@tenekuro-10 I'm incapable of syncing my data right now. I've tried to reinstall opera, and even install opera beta in linux, old versions but sync is not working now. All my +400 passwords are there and opera is not allowing me to use it.
This browser is trying to make to hate it... -

@tenekuro-10 Resetting passphrase implies in having synced data removed from servers.
After have reset the passphrase, go to opera://settings/syncSetup and change or disable your passphrase.

@leocg said in Sync deleted my sync files and prevent me from syncing:
passphrase
in what world does resetting passphrase imply that? imagine if any account on any website deleted all your data when resetting your password? if that was the case at least put a warning BEFORE people reset it to warn us? so you're telling me my years worth of data has been deleted cuz i couldnt remember what my passphrase was?
